Privacy policy

Walkie One is made by Santa’s AI Lab (“we”). This page explains what we collect when you use walkieone.com, a Walkie One device, and the Walkie One apps for Mac and Windows, what we do with it, and who else sees it. Questions go to aman@santasailab.com.

Your account

You can sign in with an email and password, or with Google. Sign-in is handled by Microsoft Entra External ID. Your password passes through our server to Microsoft but is never stored or logged. From your account we keep your email address, your name if one is provided (Google shares the name on your Google account), and an account identifier. If you sign in with Google, we receive only that basic profile information. We don’t access your Gmail, contacts, files or anything else in your Google account.

Your Walkie One

For each device on your account we keep its serial number, the name, voice and design you choose (including any inscription), and when you added it. While connected, the device reports its firmware version and Wi-Fi signal strength. Your Wi-Fi network names and passwords stay on the device and are never sent to us.

What you say

• When you hold Talk, the audio is streamed to Microsoft Azure Speech to turn it into text, and replies are turned back into speech the same way. We don’t record or store your audio.
• The text of your request goes to the assistant you connected to that device: an assistant on your own computer (such as Codex or Claude Code), Grok Bot, or Muse. Each of those services handles what it receives under its own privacy policy.
• Requests waiting for a hosted assistant are stored encrypted and erased within an hour. Replies waiting to be played on your device are stored encrypted and erased when played or dismissed, or after 24 hours.
• The Walkie One app on your computer keeps a recent transcript in a file on that computer so you can review it. It isn’t uploaded.

Shopping and the website

The store, cart and checkout run on Shopify. When you buy, Shopify collects your order, shipping and payment details under Shopify’s privacy policy. We use Shopify’s analytics on a few public pages, subject to the cookie choices in the banner. Your browser keeps your cart, your saved design and your sign-in on your device.

Apps

The Mac and Windows apps send no analytics or crash reports. They check for updates without sending details about your computer. A support report is only created when you choose to send one, and you see it first.

Who we share with

We don’t sell your information or use it for advertising. It is shared only with the services that run Walkie One: Microsoft Azure (hosting, sign-in and speech, in the United States), Shopify (store and checkout), Google (if you sign in with Google), and the assistants you choose to connect. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.

How long we keep it

Account and device details are kept while you have an account. Server logs are kept for 30 days and database backups for 7 days. Removing a device from your account stops it from reaching your assistants.

Your choices

You can ask us for a copy of your information, or to correct or delete it, including your whole account, by emailing aman@santasailab.com. Walkie One isn’t intended for children under 13.

Changes

If we change this policy, we’ll update this page and the date at the top. Significant changes will be announced on walkieone.com before they take effect.
